Tea exporter of pre-eminence in pure Ceylon tea, Akbar Brothers Limited main tea tasting laboratory, shipping, accounting and logistical management are located in the Head Office in Colombo, which is equipped with the latest communication facilities to monitor the warehousing, processing and production details of the company's other processing centers.
Akbar Brothers utilizes state-of-the-art machinery from Germany, Italy and Japan for its automated tea cleaning, tea blending, tea flavoring and tea packing facilities. These latest technology based tea bagging and tea packing facilities are located within just 10 kilometer radius off Colombo. Each of these facilities hosts its own tea tasting laboratory to ensure that the quality of tea is maintained at every stage. Both, the tea bagging as well as tea packing facilities are ISO 9002 and HACCP certified.
The four state-of-the-art tea processing centers of Akbar Brothers Limited provide a total area of 680,000 sq.ft.
Transport facilities for tea, to and from, Akbar Brothers Limited premises as a rule, is only provided by Akbar Brothers own fleet of trucks and prime movers. All these vehicles are attentively maintained for efficiency and cleanliness by the company's own qualified technical staff.
